Location
The Bhavana Society is located in the eastern foothills of the Allegheny Mountains in rural West Virginia. The nearest city is Winchester, Virginia. It is about two hours west of downtown Washington, D.C.; six hours southwest of New York City; and four hours southeast of Pittsburgh. There is no bus service nearby; people traveling by air are advised to rent a car or taxi at Washington Dulles Airport.
