Hi Sir James Paul,

Thank you for visiting the Buddhist Encyclopedia. There had been huge commercial vandalism (injecting url links) a few months back. We manage them with the Four Right Exertions:-

1. Establish a Prevention Policy
2. Updating the Policy periodically
3. Kill them all
4. Actively attacking them

We prevent by writing, and keep updating an auto-filtering script to block them all. We actively attack them back (not a Buddhist principle, but we treat them as a Kilesa) by reporting all spams to their hosting/ip providers and follow-up in detail if action is taken on the spammers. If no action is taken, we report to the search engines and anti-spam software developers. We hope the search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN, will black list them. At least, we make sure those bad links are blocked across our partners' networks (10,000+ ips) and also black list those spammers in all the software we develop. So, you see, the spammers will realize the extremely high price they have to pay and there are not that stupid to have choose us as their target. Thank you for your concern and we'll be grateful if you can report to us if any page has been vandalized. As to the contents, anyone may just corrects it if any content-vandalism is found. You are welcome!
